directions to apply for a NYS sales tax certificate
1) http://www.nys-opal.com/
2) click the link that says NYS license center
3) click into the Business tab in the upper right hand corner
4 ) click into the search businesses licenses and permits in New York blue tab on the right
5 )At the Business Wizard
6 )Click into the green tab NYS Business License by agency
7) Scroll almost to the bottom of the page and click into
Taxation and Finance, Department of
8) select the drop down that says apply on line certificate of authority to collect sales tax.
Create a log in and follow the directions.
