1) http://www.nys-opal.com/ 2) click the link that says NYS license center 3) click into the Business tab in the upper right hand corner 4 ) click into the search businesses licenses and permits in New York blue tab on the right 5 )At the Business Wizard 6 )Click into the green tab NYS Business License by agency 7) Scroll almost to the bottom of the page and click into Taxation and Finance, Department of 8) select the drop down that says apply on line certificate of authority to collect sales tax. Create a log in and follow the directions.

Though there is a record amount of snow on the field this week- the flowers, lush green grass and beautiful fully leafed out trees will return along with our vendors on opening day. Everyone has plenty of time to start preparing for our first Spring Hat Parade to be held on opening day on Maple lane. Much has changed on Maple lane in a century. Walter's great grandson and his family now run Mower's fleamarket in the summers. The house is gone, torn down in 1970. The fleamaket will start it's 37th season in May 2014.

American Tapestry the Mowers of Maple Lane

Walter and his family lived there until his son John got married. Walter moved over to Mower's Lane and his parents and sister and her family lived in the little houses at the end of the property. Copies of the biography of the family and the fleamarket are avail for sale at the Golden Notebook or thru the author at woodstockfleamarket@hvc.rr.com. $ 16.00 each.

In the early 1900's things were different

Walter Mower purchased this land in 1907. The building that was at one time a creamery he converted into a home for his family. The home sat at the corner of Maple Lane and what we refer to as Deanies Alley. Walter and his son John had a fresh vegetable stand in one of the buildings on the property- near by the carriage sheds of the Lutheran Church. Walter planted a good portion of this field with raspberry bushes. He also had fruit trees on the field.

The first big snow of 2014

We took a ride around town this morning before the major snow fall started. Imagine Maple Lane without any cars parked along it. No hustle and bustle of the flea market out on the field.

Happy New Year

It's New Year's Day and we are bracing ourselves for a winter snowstorm. This is a season of rest for Maple Lane. The field awaits a busy 37th season for Mower's Fleamarket. We wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. See you at the market in mid May 2014
